Richard Sweeting is part of a Bahamian family.

Biography

Richard was born 8 August 1851 in Cherokee Sound, Abaco, Bahamas.[1] He was baptized there on 31 August in the Methodist Church.[2] He was the son of Thomas Sweeting and Levinia J. Pinder.

He married Ann Russell on 3 January 1876 in Key West in a ceremony performed by John T. Barker, Justice of the Peace.[3] The witnesses were Thomas Pearce and Maria Knowles.

Richard died on 2 December 1930 in Key West,[4] and he is buried there in the City Cemetery.[5]
