Biography

Lainie L Swindle was enumerated as daughter at 5th District, Beat 5, Alcorn County, Mississippi for the June 15, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as farm laborer, born 1866 in Mississippi and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Thomas Swindle, wife Matilda A Swindle, son John H Swindle, daughter Sintha Swindle, son William Swindle, son Henry Swindle, daughter Adeline Swindle, daughter Loucindia Swindle and son James S Swindle.[1]

Lonie Morrow was enumerated as head of the household in Justice Precinct 5 (all west of Wolf city & Greenville rd.), Hunt County, Texas for the June 4, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as a farm laborer, born March 1872 in Mississippi and widowed. She was a renter and the mother of four children of which two were still living as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are son Elijah D Morrow and son Oscar Morrow.[2]

Lanie Morrow wed H. M. Rosson December 12, 1900 in Fannin County, Texas.[3]

Lanie Rosson was listed as the mother of Alma Rosson who was born October 7, 1903 in Spring Creek, Fannin County, Texas. The father was listed as Make Rosson.[4]

Lanie Davis was enumerated as head of the household at 527 Broadway Street, Ardmore Ward 1, Carter County, Oklahoma for the April 16, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1870 in Mississippi and widowed. She was the mother of eight children of which six were still living. She was a laundress (at home) and an owner as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are son Lige Moore, son Oscar Moore, daughter Nillie Moore, daughter Alma Moore, daughter Jewel Moore and son Preston Moore.[5]

Laney Davis was listed as the mother of Alma Rosson who was enrolled in school in 1918 in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma.[6]

L L Davis was listed as the nearest relative when her son Oscar Morrow registered for military service as recorded in this June 5, 1918 United States World War I Draft Registration Card. She lived in Ardmore, Oklahoma as seen in this image of the original form.[7]

Laney Davis was enumerated as head of the household at F. Street N. W., Ardmore Ward 1, Carter County, Oklahoma for the January 14, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1873 in Mississippi. She was widowed and an owner as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are son Lige Morrow, son Oscar Morrow, daughter Nellie Roeson, daughter Alma Roeson, daughter Jewel Davis and son Preston Davis.[8]
