Alice was born in 1333. Alice Swynnerton ... She passed away about 1350. [1]

Alice was the daughter of Thomas de Swynnerton and Maud de Holland. She married John de Gresley about 1341. They were the parents of:

  • Nicholas Gresley (1342-1386)

Disputed Parents

It has wrongly been assumed that Alice Swynnerton was the daughter of Thomas Swynnerton and Maud Holland. However, Gresley family records show that her father was actually "Roger Swinnerton, knight, lord of Swinnerton."[2]

Swynnerton-15 and Swynnerton-4 appear to represent the same person because: Same name and spouse; biography shows that there is agreement on the father of Alice at least.
