Biography

The most extensive account of the Swynnerton family is that of Bridgeman, with, as noted by Chetwynd, additions by the Rev. C. Swynnerton and Charles O. Bridgeman.

At the 1449 Inquisition Post Mortem (IPM) for her father, Alice's age was said to be thirteen, which is the basis for her birth year of 1436.

Her first husband was Richard Beaufoe. Their eldest son was over eighteen in 1472, when Alice's IPM was held, so they would have married between 1450 and 1454. They had two sons, Humphrey and Henry, before Richard died.

Alice then married William Hugford, and they had one daughter, Anne.

Alice died on 10 June 1472.
