Biography

Herbert Higginson Sykes was born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire in 1869, the son of John Sykes, a cotton spinner, and Eliza Ann Higginson. He married Annie Eliza Thompson in 1895 and they had four children, including Eileen (Sykes) Tozer. He died in 1916.
