John Alfred Sykes was born about 1905 in Brewarrina, New South Wales, Australia, son of Joseph Sykes (1868–1943) and Eva Elizabeth Huxley (1873–1970).[1]

John (26) married Catherine Peterie (25) (born in 1906 in Ulmarra, New South Wales) in 1932 in Maclean, New South Wales. [2]

John served in World War II.[3]

John died on March 26, 1981 in New South Wales, aged about 75.[4]

Research Notes

Seems to be two different Johns in this profile. The one who married Catherine is recorded as John Alison Sykes, not John Alfred Sykes, and was born in Jerilderie, not Brewarrina.
