Biography

Crawford Tait was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, to John Tait and Charlot Murdoch.^[1] He married Susan Campbell in Edinburgh in 1795.^[2]

In 1801 Crawford is recorded as a Writer to the Signet taking on an apprentice in Edinburgh. ^[3] He died in 1832 in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire. ^[4]
