Elizabeth Talbot was the daughter of Gilbert Talbot, knight, 3rd Lord Talbot, by his first wife Pernel, daughter of James le Boteler, 1st Earl of Ormond.[1][2]
Her year of birth is unknown and is estimated as c 1355.[2]
She married Henry de Grey, knight, about 4 May 1370.[1][2][3][4]
In the Grey pedigree in the Visitation of Leicester[5] she was noted as Elizabeth Talbot, daughter of 'Thomas Talbot'. She was the wife of Henry Grey of Wilton, son of Reginald Grey.
Cox[6] in discussing a monument to Henry Grey in the church of Shirland, Derbyshire, referred to the wife of Henry Grey as Elizabeth, daughter of 'Thomas' Lord Talbot.
In 1370 Gilbert Talbot, knight, Lord of of Eccleswall, owed a debt to Reginald de Grey, knight, of Wilton.[7]
Her husband Henry Grey, Knight, died in 1396 and Elizabeth was noted in his Inquisition Post Mortem.[8] His heir was his son Richard, aged 3.
Children
Margaret Grey, married john Darcy, 5th Lord Darcy of Knaith[2][9] and Sir Thomas Swynford[1]
A number of writs were issued in February and March 1401/1402 concerning the Inquisition of "Elizabeth the widow of Henry Grey of Wilton". The following were recorded: "She died on 9 Jan. 1402. Richard her son and heir is aged 12 years and more"; and "she died on 10 Jan. Richard her son and heir is aged 10 years and more."[10][12]
Research Notes
There had been some doubt as to the origins of Elizabeth, wife of Henry Grey, 5th Lord Grey of Wilton[13] but this now appears to be resolved.[1][2]

According to www.thepeerage.com she is the daughter of Gilbert Talbot. My records show his wife as Petronilla Butler. Peerage quotes this source: BP2003 volume 2, page 1665. (Burke's)
