The birth of Edward Talbott, the son of Richard & Elizabeth Talbott, is recorded in the monthly minutes of the West River Quaker Church on the 6th day of the 9th month 1658. [1]
About 1679, Edward married Elizabeth Thomas, daughter of Philip Thomas and Sarah Harrison, and widow of William Cole/Coale (d. 30 Oct 1678).[2] Edward and Elizabeth had the following children:[3]
Richard Talbott, b. 6 Feb 1680/81; d. 26 Nov 1681.
Edward Talbott, b. 3 Dec 1682
John Talbott, b. abt. 1684. Issue: Cassandra, Elizabeth & Lucy Talbott.
Elizabeth Talbott, b. abt. 1686. In her mother's will of 29 Nov 1725 (proven 24 Feb 1725/26), she was mentioned as "my loving daughter Elizabeth Smith..." but, later in the Will she is mentioned as "my loving daughter Elizabeth Mackintosh..." Daughter Elizabeth Mackintosh was also Executrix along with Samll Chew.[4]
The births of the following children were recorded in the West River Quaker minutes:
Richard Talbott, son of Edward & Elizabeth b. 6 FEB 1680/81
Richard Talbott, son of Edward & Elizabeth b. 26 NOV 1681 (assume the first died) [this is actually notice of Richard's death]
Edward Talbott, son of Edward & Elizabeth b. 3 DEC 1682
Edward inherited half of "Talbotts Ridge" from his father, which he sold a few years after his marriage to his brother-in-law, Samuel Thomas.[5] His brother Richard was to inherit "Talbotts Timber Neck" and "Poplar Knowle," but died before reaching his majority, thus, Edward became possessed of these lands as well. He sold "Talbotts Timber Neck" to Capt. Robert Lockwood in June 1680.[6]
Lands surveyed/patented for Edward Talbott:
6 Jun 1686, Talbotts Angle, containing 157 acres on the west side of Beaver Dam branch.[7]
7 Sep 1687, unnamed tract containing 227 acres on the same branch as above.[8]

His will was proved on 6 Jan 1692.

Research Notes
Edmund and George Talbott are attached to this profile as sons of Edward, but there is no evidence to confirm this. Neither are mentioned in Edward's will, nor have any Friends' records of their births been discovered. Neither of these names appear among the Talbott families of Anne Arundel County.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Edward by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Edward:
Are you confusing Edmund Talbott with Edward Talbott? Edmund Talbott who died in Balt. Co. may be a connection of the Edward Talbott of AA Co. but more research needs to be done. Most of what is known about Edward comes from Quaker meeting records. I've found no mention of an Edmund Talbott in these records.
Talbot-2615 and Talbott-407 appear to represent the same person because: Appear to be the same person with some errors in parentage that can be corrected after the merge. Edward Talbott was born in 1658 per Quaker records
Talbott-502 and Talbott-407 appear to represent the same person because: Comparison of the profiles for Edward Talbott (502 & 407) show a likely match. The only discrepancy is one child: Edmund / Edward. I think there is probably a match there too, but first the Edwards need to be merged.
