Biography

Jeremiah was born about 1820. He was the son of Jeremiah Talbott, Sr and Fanny Hancock.

Jeremiah married Joanna Adams in Halifax, Virginia on 24 Feb 1834.[1]

Jeremiah Talbott of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, enlisted at Richmond, Virginia, March 5, 1863, in Company D, 20th Battalion Virginia Heavy Artillery, for the war. He was mustered into service as a Private. On April 6, 1865, he was captured at Farmville, Virginia and taken to Point Lookout, Maryland, where he subscribed to the Oath of the Allegiance June 21, 1865, and was released.

Death

Jere Talbott died in Staunton, Virginia, in 1891.[2]
