Judith was a Friend (Quaker)

Judith was the daughter of Richard and Dorcas (Perkins) Taliferro. After her father died at the Battle of Guilford Court House [Link] her mother took her and her sisters to her father in law John's home were they resided together until moving to Georgia.^[1]

She married Absolom Mendenhall, b. 18 Mar 1780, Burke, North Carolina, USA; d. 25 Aug 1848, Fountain, Indiana, USA, on 16 Jan 1804 , Jefferson, Tennessee, USA ^[2] In 1823 they moved to Cain Township, Fountain County, Indiana[Link]. Absolom is listed as the first permanent settler there. Judith predeceased him Aug 18, 1845.digital image[Link]^[3]
