Judith was the daughter of Richard and Dorcas (Perkins) Taliferro. After her father died at the Battle of Guilford Court House [Link] her mother took her and her sisters to her father in law John's home were they resided together until moving to Georgia.[1]
She married Absolom Mendenhall, b. 18 Mar 1780, Burke, North Carolina, USA; d. 25 Aug 1848, Fountain, Indiana, USA, on 16 Jan 1804 , Jefferson, Tennessee, USA [2] In 1823 they moved to Cain Township, Fountain County, Indiana[Link]. Absolom is listed as the first permanent settler there. Judith predeceased him Aug 18, 1845.digital image[Link][3]
The only reference to this marriage is in the book Ancestry and posterity of Dr. John Taliaferro and Mary (Hardin) Taliaferro by Ivey, Willie Catherine. What became of Rhodan Greene is unknown.
