His wife’s Ligon surname was just added to this male Tanner-524 with no explanation, so could someone please explain the reasoning for this ? Thanks

There is no evidence Josias had a middle name of Abraham. No record has been found of any Abraham Tanner arriving in Virginia Colony in the early/mid 1620s.
Tanner-1678 and Tanner-524 appear to represent the same person because: dups with same son

Looks like no evidence presented that Joseph Tanner was son of an Abraham Tanner, geeez!

On some sites there is a Joseph Abraham Tanner. Could this be your Abraham?

Tanner-1678 and Tanner-524 are not ready to be merged because: They appear to be possibly the same person, different wives are listed and DOD is different,it seems more investigation is needed.

Tanner-1678 and Tanner-524 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicates - the only problem is the mother of his son, Joseph. Without sources it's hard to know which is the mother.
Seems like approx DOD should be moved past 1629, which is the son' DOB. or the son's DOB should be moved.
