Biography
In the 1880 census Mary (age about 13) was living in Fair Bluff, Columbus, North Carolina.[1]
When Mary was 22 she married William Atkinson Nance on 20 December 1888 in Columbus, North Carolina. The couple had 9 children: Leonard Beaman Nance, James Addie Nance, Charles Wesley Nance, Mary Susan Nance, Celia H Nance, Bessie A Nance, Lucy Bostic Nance, Ralph M Nance and Florence Elizabeth Nance.[2]
In the 1900 census Mary (age about 33) was living in Cerro Gordo, Columbus, North Carolina.[3]
In the 1910 census Mary (age about 43) was living in Cerro Gordo, Columbus, North Carolina.[4]
In the 1920 census Mary (age about 53) was living in Fair Bluff, Columbus, North Carolina.[5]
