Emma was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, on November 15, 1904. She was the daughter of William Tate and Caroline Akeroyd. She was baptized on January 11, 1905 at Saint John Church in Great Horton, Bradford.
Emma married Harry Firth in 1927. The ceremony was performed on December 24th in Buttershaw at St Paul. The Parish Register listed Emma as a twenty three year old spinster residing at 5 Oakdale Terrace, Wibsey. Her father was named as William Henry Tate "Wool Sorter". Harry was a twenty three year old bachelor and "Designer" residing at 6 Palm Close, Wibsey. His father was named as Richard Firth "Stoker". The couple would have two children.
Emma passed away in 1973. Her death was registered in the third quarter in Bradford.
