Harry Tate was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England.

Harry was born in Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, on August 2, 1911. He was the son of William Tate and Caroline Akeroyd. He was listed as a dependent child in his father's World War I Service records.

Harry married Rita Naylor in 1938. The marriage was registered in the first quarter in Bradford. It is unknown if the couple had children. They appeared in the 1939 register residing at 24 Aireville Ave., Bradford. His occupation "Export Manager Textiles".

Harry passed away in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England, in 1982.
