Biography

John Tate, Senior, was a Colonel in the Revolutionary War according to the reference from Kentucky Historical Society, Vol. 27, Tate Family. In a deposition in 1808 he moved to Russell Co., VA in 1772. They had 12 children., Robert, Samuel, Homer, John, Lydia, Isaac, Mattie and Hannah Tate.
