Biography

Ann Tattersfield was born in Royal Leamington Spa in 1847,^[1] her birth being registered in the Warwick Union registration district^[1] in the third quarter of that year.^[1] Her parents were James Tattersfield,^[2] a fishmonger,^[2] and his wife Mary^[2] (née Mills^[1]).

She was baptised in the parish church of All Saints, Leamington Priors, Warwickshire^[2] on 30 April 1848,^[2] at the same time as her elder siblings Julia (b.1844) and James (b.1846).^[2]
