William is said to have been born on 24 Sep 1783 in North Carolina, he was the son of John Tatum and Martha Howard.however, no sources for that date are found.
On 04 April 1807 William Tatum and Phbe Barham were married[1]
In 1850 in Campbell, Greene Missouri, William, born in 1783, and Phebe are shown with several of their children[2]
No sources for his death have been found.
