.Per a brief mention in the Connecticut Nutmegger, a John Purdy married an Avice (Alice) Tayler in Brundall, Norfolk, England, in 1582. They had children John, 1584, and Francis, 1587. [1] John and Avice are assumed to have been the parents of the immigrant Francis Purdy.
Avice Tayler was probably born about 1561, based on her 1582 marriage year. No records for her birth location or parents have been found, so the mother linked in WikiTree should be considered speculative.
