  • 1876 Trow: James Taylor, stone. house: 271 W 39th, New York[4] (this may be the same as the previous, address numbers were changed)
  • 1880 Census: 271 W. 39th Street. Living with wife, Susanna, daughter Agnes and son James. Daughter and son-in-law, Susanna and John Payne, live in another unit in the same building.[5]
