Biography
Arthur W. Taylor was born on 13 March 1880[1]at New York, USA. He appeared on the census of 12 June 1880 in the household of his parents, Horace W. Taylor and Sarah Jane (Baxter) Taylor, at Chemung, Chemung County, New York.[2]
He married Emma Etta Vanderveer, daughter of Warren C. Vanderveer and Elizabeth (--?--) Vanderveer, circa 1904.[3]
He was a farmer when he and Emma appeared on the census of 19 April 1910 at Tioga, Tioga County, New York.[4] He was a worker on the railroad in 1920 when he and Emma appeared on the census of 5 Jan. 1920 at 116 Chestnut St., Owego, Tioga County, New York.[5] He was a carpenter on a railroad when he and Emma appeared on the census of 7 Apr 1930 at 20 Cypress St., Binghamton, Broome County, New York. Emma died in 1936.
He married Hazel (--?--) circa 1938.[3]
He was a carpenter for the county highway department when he and Hazel appeared on the census of 9 April 1940 at 5 Temple St., Owego, Tioga County, New York.[6]
Arthur died in 1947.[3] probably in Tioga County, and was buried at Smithboro Cemetery, Smithboro, Tioga County, New York. His memorial has a photo of his headstone.[7]
