Hi Chris:

I am wondering what your source of information is regarding Hubert Lowry Corry who was an assistant district commissioner in Uganda. You have listed him as unmarried but he was actually married to my grand mother, a Ugandan, who his family did not accept as his legitimate wife. He had two children, a son and a daughter. Sadly both are deceased but there are descendants from both his children. I would like to know more from you and your sources before providing more details about Hubert's children, who both carried his name.

Hi Chris, we have been in touch before. My partner Michael J.A. Day died in 13 January 2022 (dob 6.6.1946). I was going through his family history and found some Tayspill family seals, which I can photograph. I'm hoping I can find a genealogist to help me put things in perspective, but am returning to Holland in a month or so ... I still have the family bible with entries from about 1700, plus 2 Quaker marriage certificates (John Day and Katherine Cater, Stansted Mountfitchet 1696, and Samuel Day and Kezia Lawrence, Woodbridge 1764). The artist Lewis Foreman Day (1850-1910) and his brother Barclay Lewis Day were his ancestors (https://www.haslemerehall.co.uk/about-haslemere-hall/). Michael's father Frank Barton Day, a Spitfire pilot who took part in the Great Escape, had the copyright to LFD's literary work. If you would like photos, I will do my best ...

Thank you for helping keep an eye on MatchBot! It comes up with some good matches that would not have been proposed otherwise, but it comes up with a lot of obviously wrong ones too.
