Elizabeth Ann "Bettie" TAYLOR was born on September 12, 1849, in Montgomery, Kentucky, her father, Tarlton, was 43 and her mother, Elizabeth, was 37. She married James W. SPENCER on April 1, 1869, in Gallatin, Kentucky. They had eight children in 18 years. She died on January 2, 1898, in Warsaw, Kentucky, at the age of 48, and was buried in Glencoe, Kentucky.
