Research Notes
There are some inaccuracies in the sources:
As at 13 Dec 2019, The Peerage has incorrect information. The death date on The Peerage is 4 April 1841 taken from Burke's Peerage 2003 edition which is an unreliable source. The Peerage also states a death date of 14 August 1841 taken from Cokayne's The Complete Peerage. Cokayne is a reliable source so has been used for this WikiTree profile. This death date is also supported by The Gentleman's Magazine and The Annual Register.
Wikidata has used this incorrect information from The Peerage as a source and is therefore also incorrect for the death date as at 13 Dec 2019.
The Find a Grave entry for Sarah is incorrect. It may be that the inscription on her grave is worn and has been incorrectly transcribed.
Thomas Westropp's Pedigree of Taylor has incorrectly named William Taylor as the father of Sarah- her father was Colonel Edward Taylor, the brother of William.
Murphy incorrectly has Sarah's mother as Ann Armitage- her mother was Anne Maunsell as Ann Armitage died in 1743.
Betham has a birth date of 1758 rather than 1756.
The marriage notice in the Annual Register has a date of 4 July 1774.
