Died Date Kate Hafner Taylor gave as his death, though Hafnerdesc.salwaysheard story he was murdered on train back to Mobile after birth of a son. 1865 Thought probably killed on train/Greensboro to Mobile, Al afterbirthofson. Evidence shows though he used an alias and was transferred by general to Mississippi outfit of spies -a John Taylor of Ala shot as spy near Powhatan Va, his birthplace. MAR 1863. Found multiple copies of death date. Using 1865
