Richard Taylor, son of Edmund and Ann (Lewis) Taylor,[1] was born January 17, 1753 in Lunenburg County, Virginia. He died after November 9, 1826 in Granville County, North Carolina.[2]
Marriage
Richard Taylor (1753-1826) married Lucy Byne on 7 March 1775 in Granville County, North Carolina. They had at least two children: Robert Taylor, married (2) Mildred Kennon, and Jane (Taylor) Thorp, born 10 December 1779 in Granville County.[2]
Richard was a Captain of a Granville Co, NC company of militia and served in the Revolutionary War.
