Biography

George Colby Taylor was born 16 Oct 1805, the son of Richard Taylor, Jr. and Mary Stubbs Taylor.

He married first on 09 Oct 1832 at Hickman County, Kentucky to Isabelle Winn [1] and they had children: [2] [3]

4. T. R. (son), b. abt. 1849

Isabelle died in 1853 and George married second on 20 Jan 1853 at Hickman County, Kentucky to Virginia Singletary, [4] and they had children: [3] [5]

5. Myra F., b. 07 Jan 1855, m. Thomas Robert Gordon, d. 02 Aug 1937
6. Mary Elizabeth, b. 17 Aug 1857, m. Gilbert Garrard, d. 20 May 1941

George passed away 07 Apr 1871 and was buried at Columbus Confederate Cemetery in Hickman County, Kentucky. [6]
