Biography

Mary Belle was born 16 May 1837 in South Frankfort Kentucky, the daughter of Edmund Haynes Taylor and Martha Southgate Taylor. [1] [2]

She married on 11 Sep 1856 at Franklin County, Kentucky to Dr. John Linton Phythian, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. [3] and they had children: [4] [5] [6]

  2. Charles T., b. abt. 1861, m. Laura B. Taft?, d. 14 Feb 1897
  3. Mary Elizabeth, b. 16 Apr 1867, m. Nimmo F. Pettis, d. 18 Mar 1940
  4. John Linton, Jr., b. 21 Jul 1869, m. Mary B. Ankeney, d. 03 Apr 1950

Mary Belle passed away in 1915 [7] and is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky. [8]
