Adam was born about 1853 in Scotland, the son of John Taylor and Margaret Scott. On May 6, 1880, in London, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada, he married Annie Fitzthomas, (born about 1860 in England), the daughter of Edward and Annie Fitzthomas.[1] Adam worked as a teamster in London, Ontario, at least until 1881.[2]
