Biography

Mary Taylor was born in 1812, South Carolina, she married John Fortenberry. In 1850, they were in Simpson County, Simpson, Mississippi. Their son Asa Fortenberry was born in Georgia in 1832.[1]

The family lived in Simpson, Mississippi in 1840 also, John Fortenberry is also shown on the slave schedule in 1850, with a female slave age 45.[2][3]

Mary Taylor died after 1850, probably in Mississippi.
