Ann M Taylor was born in about 1834 in England. She was probably the sister of John Taylor (abt.1818-1897).
When the 1850 census of Massachusetts was taken, Ann was in the household of her presumed brother John, who was married and had a young child.
Profile created as the daughter of Samuel Gott Taylor (1794-), and sister of John Taylor (1815-1897), and it appears to be primarily based on the 1850 census listed below in Sources.
However it seems quite unlikely someone born in England would have a father with middle name Gott, and Samuel Gott Taylor was born in the USA, making it unlikely that he'd have returned to England before the births of his children John and Ann, and that then the family went back again to the USA before 1850. This suggests (but doesn't prove) that either the England birthplaces are wrong (somewhat unlikely since other sources relating to John also give his birthplace as England) or else the Ann and John born in England are not the children of Samuel Gott Taylor.
This FamilySearch tree entry for John Franklin Taylor gives his birthplace as Maine, his wife as Mary, and his children in 1860 as inconsistent with the children on the 1850 census listed below. It's strong evidence in favour of two different John Taylors having been conflated. I'm therefore removing Samuel Gott Taylor as the father of Ann, and deconflating her brother John.
