Burtney Taylor was born in 1859 in Whitley County, Indiana to Andrew and Susan (Day) Taylor.[1,2,3] His father was a farmer, and he became a farmer, and lived on his farm his whole live.[2-7]
On November 23, 1887, Burtney married Mattie Karnes.[8] They had two children, Freeda, born in 1888 and Valorous Everett, born in 1891. Mattie died in 1919,[1] and for a while, Burtney hired a housekeeper, Kassie Bump.[7] Then in 1923 he remarried, Sarah Ann (Barnes) Hatfield.[9] Two years later Burtney died.{1]
