He was the 2nd son of Rev Basil Kirke Taylor and Edith Palmer Tylee.
He died in infancy in January 1875, aged eight months. He was buried on 22 January 1875 in the family burial ground at Heads Road Cemetery, Whanganui (Family Plot 50, Terrace).
