Matilda Taylor was born in 1827 in Appling County, Georgia, United States, daughter of John Taylor (1795–1866) and Matilda Gray (1796–~1869).
In the 1900 census Matilda (age 73) was the widowed head of household in Precinct 17, Saint Johns, Florida.[1]
