Electoral Rolls

1949 Newall Ave, Stoke.
1957 5 Newall Ave, Stoke. Widow.
1981 15 Newall Ave, Stoke, Nelson. Widow. With son Jack Albert.

Mildred lived to celebrate her 100th birthday. With little money to spend and a husband who lived apart, she brought up a family of four boys and two girls. The boys were keen cricket and soccer players, doing well at both sports, and the girls, brought up to be good housekeepers, were apprenticed to "tayloring" firms. Both skills stood them in good stead during their married lives.

Mildred's favourite pastime was playing whist and euchre, and the latter became her favourite in later years. Even at 99 years of age she was unbeatable! She also loved her flower garden. Her placid and happy nature made her a favourite with her family.
