Elizabeth was born in about 1872.[1] She was the daughter of Charles Jennings Taylor, a Builder and Ellen Tickner.
She lived with her parents and siblings in Howbury Rd, Camberwell, London, Surrey, England (1881) and Kimberley Road, Camberwell, London, Surrey, England (1891). In 1891 she was aged 18 and single.
Occupation: Dressmaker Assistant
At the age of 23 she married 23 year old Charles West Taylor on 4 August 1895 at St Mary, Paddington Green, Westminster, England, after Banns. [2] His occupation was recorded as Oil Colourman. The Witnesses were Charles Jennings Taylor, Sarah Rose Taylor and Ada Taylor.
They had at least four children; Wilfred, Lillian, Albert and Mary.
In the census dated 31 March 1901 she was 28 and living with her husband Charles and two children in London Street, Paddington, London, Middlesex, England.
Elizabeth emigrated with her husband and three children from England to Canada in 1906, travelling on the ship Tunisian. Their youngest child Albert was born in Canada in 1912.
Canada Census Date 1916: Living with her family in Saskatchewan, Canada. Aged 43.
Her husband died in 1925.
In the Census of 1926 she was recorded in the household of her widowed son Wilfred in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Canada. Aged 52 and widowed. Also in the household was her 14 year old son Albert and 2 year old granddaughter Mary Taylor (Wilfred's daughter).
She passed away in 1967 at the age of 94.[3]
