Mary "Polly" Taylor was born on 21 Oct 1823 in Mt. Airy, Surry County, North Carolina USA. Mary married William Hiatt on 15 Oct 1845 in Surry County, NC.

The marriage bond that William Hiatt took out on 15 Oct 1845 was with a Daniel Taylor. Was Daniel Taylor Mary's father or her brother??? October 15th, 1845, was the date of the marriage bond, but not necessarily the wedding.

Polly and William Hiatt are both listed in various places in the probate records of Starling Taylor recorded in Surry County, NC.
