Biography

Josiah Taylor, 1767-1847, was born in Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island, the son of William Taylor and Deborah Gray. He married Hannah Lewin on 26 November 1795 in Swansea, Bristol, Massachusetts. They had seven children. Josiah Taylor died on 26 January 1847 in Providence, Providence, Rhode Island. Josiah Taylor is buried with his wife, their son George, and other family, at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, Rhode Island. [4]
