DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Jack or other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
  • Jack Templeton: Family Tree DNA Y-DNA Test 700 markers, haplogroup R-Z16326, FTDNA kit #63127
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jack:

Hi Jack, I have tried to contact you about the merge of Salyer-532 and Salyer-47 to no avail. the merge was proposed on Nov 25, 2018. I hope everything is well with you. Please take a moment and either put me on her Trusted List so I can make the merge or complete the merge yourself. Thank you so much for your attention to this matter.

Hi Jack,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

Regarding Templeton-2691 I have no male relatives to take a DNA. My son thinks DNA tests are an evil plot to lead to a dystopian future. He's annoyed with me for taking one because "that's partly my DNA you gave away"
Thank you Jack for checking in we me about Templeton genealogy. No doubt we might have Pictish blood in us! Funny thing is that you and I are 11th cousins. I checked through the relationship app. But not through the Templeton line. Go figure! :D

Hello, Priscilla Cobb here. I found the error with George McConnell, Jr. wife and was able to correct it. Thanks for your attention.

Hello. I am tracing my McConnell ancestors but there is a glitch. First, the wife of George McConnell junior is incorrectly listed in the tree as his mother, Susannah Snavely. The data in his profile is correct, his wife was Mary Polly Compton. But the tree lists his mother as his wife. Also, does anyone have any information as to the father of George McConnell who immigrated in 1746 and had 2 wives, Evelyn Barbara Kornmann and Reginal Gruenwald??
