Daniel Tenney ... [1]

Rev. Daniel Tenney, born in Chester, N. H., 10 Dec, 1813, son of Deacon Silas and Rebecca (Bailey) Tenney ; married 23 Sept., 1844, to Mary Adams Parker, daughter of Deacon Nathaniel and Lois ( ) Parker of Derry, N. H. Mary was born 28 July, 1822, and died 28 Aug., 1866. Daniel graduated from Dartmouth College in 1841, and from the Theological Seminary, Walnut Hill, 0., in 1844. He was ordained over the second Presbyterian church at Oxford, Ohio, in 1845; dismissed in 1851, and settled over the Centre Church at Lawrence, Mass., from 1857 to 1862. He accepted charge of the Springfield St. Church in Boston, Mass., from 1862 to 1865. Residence, Poughkeepsie, N. Y. He had in his possession a desk said to have belonged to Thomas Tenney, the colonist. He retired from the ministry in 1890, and since that date he resided in San Diego, Cal., where he died 24 Oct., 1902.
