Biography

He is the son of Jan Terhune and Annetje Schenck. [1]

Family records state the will read as follows " Feb 20, 1753, I, Roelof Terhune of Gravesend, in King's County, being very sick, will that after payment of debts etc., etc., I leave to my son Gerret my great selver Kop, and my Keenan swoord, and my leder britses, and the selver botten hoels. I give to my son Roelof a gun; to that child of my son Albert named Roelof, my gun and Great Bybel. To my son Albertis, all that farm where I now live and the meadow that lies in the Flatlands; and he shall pay 150 pounds to each of my five daughters etc., etc.
