Biography

Steven Albertse parents were Albert Albertse Terhune and Hendrickje Stevense Van Voorhis.

Stephen's first wife was Lydia Demerest, whom he married in Hackensack by banns published on 18 October 1707. Lydia died after 24 February 1737, when she and Steven witnessed a grandson's baptism at Hackensack.[1]

Steven's second wife was Maria Bertholf, widow of Jan Bongaert, whom he married 4 November 1744 in Schraalenburgh, New Jersey.[2]

Steven and Maria witnessed the baptism of a grandson at Schraalenburgh 13 July 1746.[3]

Find A Grave gives a death date of 1746.[4] The Macy reference states that there is an unverified source that gives a death date of 1758.[1]
