Biography

Oxenbridge was born in 1681.

He was the son of Peter Thatcher and Theodora Oxenbridge.

Graduated from Harvard in 1698, Oxenbridge was a selectman for many years in Boston, and a representative for Milton. He ministered in his early days and was the first to preach a sermon in Stoughton

Oxenbridge married Widow Mrs Elizabeth Lilly (Hobby) on 10 Feb 1713/4 in Milton, Mass by Rev Peter Thacher (Oxenbridge's father)[1]

Oxenbridge married secondly to Widow Mrs. Bathsheba Kent (Daggett) on 26 Jun 1740 in Boston, Mass.,[2]

Oxenbridge Thacher Esq. passed away in 1772, he was 92 years old [3]

He wrote his Will on Feb 10, 1770[4] , [5]and [6] In his Will he mentions his wife Bathsheba, and his grandchildren; Elizabeth Merriam, Sarah Leonard, Bathsheba Rogers, Thomas Thacher, Peter Thacher, Judith Thacher, Nathaniel Thacher
