Biography

Mar Homer Thames registered for military service as recorded in this September 12, 1918 United States World War I Draft Registration Card. His birth was listed as July 24, 1884 in United States. His address was Red Oak, Campbell County, Georgia. His occupation was farming and RFD carrier. His nearest relative was Mrs. M.E. Thames of Red Oak, Campbell County, Georgia. He was short and medium build with brown eyes and brown hair as seen in this image of the original form.[1]

On April 1, 1935, Homer Thames lived in Red Oak, Fulton County, Georgia.[2]

Homer Thames was enumerated as head of the household at Street Address here, Red Oak, Fulton County, Georgia for the April 18, United States Census, 1940. He was noted as born 1886 in Georgia and married. He owned a home worth $3500. He was shown to be a rural carrier (post?) and farmer as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Lynn Thames, daughter Elizabeth Thames, daughter Edna Thames, daughter Anna F Thames and son Harold Thames.[2]

Mar H Thames died January 24, 1969 in Fulton County, Georgia.[3]
