Biography
Marie Pelagie Thibault and her twin sister Marie Modeste were born on 24 Feb 1752 and were baptized on 27 Feb in Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours parish in L'Islet. They were the daughters of Jean François Thibault and his wife Marie Genevieve Cloutier. Godparents at Pelagie's baptism were Pierre Thibeau [sic] and Rosalie Thibeau [sic]. At age 16 Pelagie married Joseph Pelletier on 11 Nov 1770; she was his second wife. Joseph died in 1783. At age 36 Pelagie married second husband Isidore Boucher on 1 Apr 1788 in Notre-Dame-de-Liesse parish in Rivière-Ouelle.

Joseph Peltier est décédé le 11 novembre 1783, il a été inhumé le lendemain à Ste-Anne. Il avait reçu "seulement le sacrement de l'extrême onction vu la paralésie (paralysie) et l'apoplexie où il est tombé le dimanche auparavant pendant la messe" ( 9 novembre) .
