Biography

:Marie Madelaine Thibodeau was born in December 1763[1] in Malden, Massachusetts Colony[citation needed] where her family was living in exile. She was the fifth child born in the family. Her parents were Germain Thibodeau and Marie-Blanche Préjean. She married Jean-Baptiste Goguen, son of Joseph Goguen and Anne Arsenault around 1782.

Madeleine was born about 1763. She is the daughter of Germain Thibodeau and Marie Babineau. She was baptized 20 Jul 1768 at Halifax Nova Scotia. [2]
About 1782, Marie Madeleine Thibodeau, daughter of Germain & Marie Blanche Préjean married Jean Baptiste Goguen, born 18 Jan 1763 in Acadie, son of Joseph & Anne Arseneau - d. 3 March 1839, Cocagne. (Stephen White/Goguen) [3] [4]

Research Notes

According to M. W. Landry, Madeleine was born in 1763 in Halifax, Nova Scotia (bapt. July 1768). But this family was listed at Boston in 1763. [5] She is the daughter of Marie Blanche Préjean (Stephen White), Germain Thibodeau's first wife. Germain's second marriage to Marie Babineau took place about 1767... [6] [7]Mother changed.

Could not find this record in Ancestry or in the Bailly register (Caraquet). Could it be in the Bailly register (Ekoupahag)?Cormier-1939 19:27, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
