Biography

N E Marsh was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Precinct 3, Choctaw County, Alabama for the June 18, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born September 1868 in Alabama and had been married twelve years. She was the mother of five children of which all were still living. Also included in the household are head E. L. Marsh, son Charley W Marsh, son Edmond Marsh, daughter Clara Marsh, son George Marsh and daughter Fannie Marsh as seen in an image of the original census.[1]

Newell E Marsh was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Precinct 3, Choctaw County, Alabama for the April 15, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1869 in Alabama and had been married twenty-two years. She was the mother of six children of which all were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Edmund L Marsh, son Edmund Marsh, daughter Clara Marsh, son George Marsh, daughter Fannie Marsh and son Bryan Marsh.[2]

Newell Thomas was listed as the mother of Charles Watson Marsh who died September 16, 1964 in Butler, Choctaw County, Alabama. The father was listed as Edmund Littlepage Marsh.[3]

some records indicate her name is Fannie but I think her daughter or son-in-law mistook this when providing information

United States Census, 1880??? this is likely her, the names are similar (the same?) to the names on the census records of Charles Watson in 1870 and 1880
