Biography

From Glen Pratt: "In 1813, Zachariah Tuten, Sr., Obediah Tuten his son, Jonathan(John) Tuten his brother, and Wiley Tuten, Sr. came from North Carolina about 1810 and mustered at Kingston, Tennessee to fight in the War of 1812. Wiley was a sergeant/corporal, John was a 1st Lieutenant & both Zach & Obediah were privates for their three months service under Captain William Neilson's Company.", Col. Brown's Regiment, East Tennessee Volunteers.

"Zachariah Tuten was married twice. Prior to marrying Ally Dickson in 1806, he had seven children to an unknown (possibly a Cherokee Indian woman)and an 8th child in 1820 to this woman after having married Ally in 1806 and several children with Ally."

Zachariah was born about 1793. Zachariah Tuten ... He passed away about 1877.

Mary was born about 1804. Mary was the child of Unnamed Father Tuten. Mary passed away about 1886.
