Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1771.[1] She passed away in 1844 at 74 yrs. and 9 months.[2]

SIMON HADLEY, s of Joshua and Ruth (Lind-ley) Hadley (p 1), was b 6 Oct 1765 in Orange (now Chatham) Co, NC, d 3 Apr 1843, bur Mill Creek Cem, Danville, Ind. He m, 10 May 1787, Elizabeth Thompson, b 7 Aug 1771, Orange Co, NC, d 16 Aug 1844, bur Mill Creek Cem, dau of James and Martha (Chambers) Thompson. James Thompson was a s of James and Elizabeth (Hadley) Thompson. (See Vol I.) On 25 July 1829, Simon, then 63 yrs of age, together with his wife and younger children, were gct White Lick MM, Morgan Co, Ind, by Spring MM, NC. Most of their children had already preceded them to Ind. Both Simon and his wife died at the home of their son-in-law, Simon B. Hadley, nr Mooresville, Ind. He d of injuries caused by a run-away team.[3]

Marriage

On 10 May 1787[4] Simon T. Hadley married Elizabeth Thompson in the Cane Creek Friends Meeting, Chatham County, North Carolina.[5]
