Samuel Thompson^[1] was born Feb 16, 1630, in England, to Rev. William Thompson and Abigail Skellecorne. He died Jun 18, 1695, at the age of 64, and is buried in Hancock Cem., Quincy, Massachusetts.

He married first Apr 25, 1656, Sarah Shepard, daughter of Edward & Violet (?Wolterton) Shepard of Cambridge. She died Jan 15, 1679/80, at the age of 43, and is buried in Hancock Cem., Quincy, Massachsetts.

He married second Oct 4, 1680, Elizabeth Billings, widow of Joseph Billings. She died Nov 5, 1706, at the age of 69, and is buried in Hancock Cem., Quincy, Massachusetts.
